Run the daily from Hunter's Shack — one of the rotating cryptid targets can be a Flatwoods Monster. Repeatable once a day, your steadiest non-event shot.

Night Random Encounters
They only appear after dark, teleporting and abducting lone wanderers — the riverbanks near Thunder Mountain are a known haunt. It mind-controls nearby enemies and vanishes in a flash if you run. Atmospheric, never dependable.
